Who? Moi?

Bore Da from sunny Aberystwyth.

I'm a singer-song-writer from a village in the Blyth area of Northumberland, but I also spent some of my early childhood in Northern Canada and a lot of time with my family in Connemara in the West of Ireland.
I've also lived in Newcastle, London, and Hamburg and until March this year in Aberystwyth, West Wales.

I've pretty much done music all my life, coming from a musical family, playing in pubs and clubs, as my dad used to do, except where he sang country songs, I mainly do my own.

The themes of my songs, like those of my life, tend to be about city-life. But the rhythms and feel of the folk and country music, which my father played, are never far away.

My first album, mainly acoustic tracks, recorded in and inspired by the city where the streets are paved with gold.

SINGLES

And Then There's You
This single, inspired by the TV series "In The Flesh" about zombies in the North Country, came out in 2023, Art work photo from my walk along Hadrian's Wall.

Cicio'r Bar (bilingual Welsh and English)
Came out on my birthday Mar 5th 2025, but I actually won the SSiW Eisteddfod song-writing competition with this song about leaving Aberystwyth 3 years ago (with a great feedback from legendary Tecwyn Ifan, who was judge).

Seren Leol (in Welsh)
I think this is the only song I know, in Welsh, with a gay theme. The sexuality is not the important thing though, but the theme of moving away, and of a country-boy leaving home for the city to pursue success, and returning to find all he wanted was what he always had.
